What do you do when you’ve just
tipped 60, you’re alone, have no husband or children, no home and no savings?
Decide your 60’s will be the best decade ever and spend the winter in an
off-grid Mongolian yurt in a secluded valley high up in the Cambrian Mountains?
Absolutely! This challenging four month adventure brought me closer to my
original self… the resourceful, resilient woman I really am - capable, strong,
wise with a fierce and childlike spirit. Embracing the dark outside as well as
within, I fell in love with the night and with myself and learned that my
‘crone-hood’ is magnificent.
I’ve met many women who say
they would love to do what I did. But if I can do it, anyone can. My next
challenges are walking a pilgrimage the length of Wales, setting up a small
off-grid yurt retreat centre and publishing my first book.
Francesca is an inspirational
storyteller who illustrates that when you follow your heart come what may you
tap in to the collaborative essence of nature and nothing is impossible. She
does this by challenging herself and producing personal stories through writing
and video, as well as writing visionary fiction. She has worked as an intuitive
mentor for over 20 years, published The Changing Times magazine, been a founder
member of a Conscious Living social network and is now Editor of the new digital
magazine ‘Conscious Traveller’. Her first novel uses the theme of ‘love being
the vital force which brings our imagination to life’, the initial book in a
trilogy on the resurrection of the feminine. She produces the video diaries on
being ‘bolder not older’, writes blogs and has published articles in Positive
News magazine.
