Growing up in Seattle, WA, Dr Michael VanDerschelden (Dr Mike) was an avid snowboarder and tennis player. In high school, he and his younger brother teamed up in doubles to place top 5 in state. Dr Mike graduated with a kinesiology and pre-dental degree with the plan of following in his father’s footsteps and being a dentist. When he realized dentistry wasn’t the profession for him, he moved to Southern California. That is where he discovered the profession of Chiropractic and found his calling.

Dr Mike got his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. Having shadowed and being mentored by some of the most respected doctors of his profession while he was in school, Dr John Bergman being one of them, and he began to realize just how intelligent and amazing the human body was.

Dr. Mike has a love for the outdoors, exercising, nutrition, researching, following his Seattle sports teams, and spending time with his friends and family. He enjoys being a mentor to his younger brother, Alex, whom is following Dr. Mike’s footsteps in going to school to become a Chiropractor. He also loves lecturing about important health topics many people are not aware of.
